My review of Elektra...

Actors: Overall 3.
Jennifer Gardner was decent. She is probably the best Female Action Star that Hollywood has. Zhang Yiyi and Michelle Yeoh not included since they really aren't hollywood actors truely. I'd give her performance a grade of 3 stars. About an average job. I really like her work on Alias, but I've noticed that last few years that she's kind of lost her ability to be truely sensual. I don't know if it's just because she trains so hard to be in shape to do the stunts, or what, but she really looked like she had a board strapped to her back alot in this movie. Very few times did I really think she looked natural and sexy. The young girl that she had to protect in this movie did a pretty good job. I'd give her 4 stars. I think I was more impressed by her acting than any one else in the movie. The guy from ER did a decent job, and I was impressed that he cleaned up his accent quite alot for this movie, but over all, he didn't do anything thrilling. So I'd give him a 3. Everyone else in the movie pretty much didn't do anything more than a 2.

Plot: Overall 2.
The movie did a good job of explaining how she could be dead at the end of Daredevil but alive for this movie. It wasn't too creative, but it did it's job. The opening of the movie was done decently as well. But after that...... I think I have a problem with any movie that tries to include too many characters.. I really felt that they had too many "Bad guys"... It really made it difficult to include them all in, and I felt that a few were disposed of in too quickly a manner. Like, they are supposed to be these bad asses, and yet, Elektra disposes of them in 1 minute. Not at all what I was hoping for. The final fight scene with the main bad guy was pretty good. Starting in the house, and moving to the garden. It at least allowed for a bit of drama, and helped to setup the ending of the movie. But the Kiss of Death Lady and the Tattoo guy really had no point. I think they could have gotten rid of those characters completely, just sent in more of those anonymously masked "Ninja's" and showed more kick ass fight scenes. The ending fight scene was decent, but after that, I really didn't like how the movie ended. Really left me going "What the hell? That's it? It didn't answer anything for me"...

Cool Factor: Overall 2.
The tattoo guy and the special effects associated with that were an easy 4 stars in my book. I really liked that part, too bad that it never evolved into anything more. A few of the fight scenes were 4 stars as well, but they were few and far between. And very short at that. Most of the rest of the movie really didn't have anything in it that made the scenes stick out.

Suggested Viewing Place: 1$ theatre.
I'm giving it a rating of 1$ theatre because I'm not sure I'd really suggest seeing this on DVD if you have to pay the 3 or 4 bucks to rent the dvd. If you have Netflix, and are just looking to fill your queue up, throw it in there then.

Overall Rating: 2.5 Stars.
Only because I really can't give a Jennifer Gardner movie anything less than 2.5. She alone deserves a couple of stars most of the time. And I don't think anyone else could have even made it worth watching (Straight to DVD instead????). I know it sort of sounds conflicting but that's my rating of the movie. It's diffinately not a "Buy" DVD. I doubt I'd watch this movie again anytime soon, and diffinately never enough to warrent needing to own it.

Just got done watching the latest episode of Joan of Arcadia...

Yeah I know, it's a silly show, one that I shouldn't probably be watching. But I find it very entertaining... I'd actually suggest watching this show to people.. Although I'm sure most of my friends would snicker to no end if I tried to get them to watch it... Oh well...

First post, not sure if anyone will be reading this, but I'll still just randomly post things.. 8*)

First off, am I the only one that was mildly disturbed about Microsoft teaching people how to speak leetspeak?

This is almost like giving crediability to people that do this... One step down from having the words officially recognized in the dictionary.... Geez..
